ÁGORA SICILIA 2027
All reservations are made directly with the Ágora Sicilia organization. By paying the reservation fee for your place in the Residence, you expressly agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Your place will be confirmed once the organization issues formal confirmation of receipt of payment by email.
1. Payment Method and Deadlines
Reservation fee: Your place is confirmed by an initial payment of €500. This payment guarantees a limited number of places (maximum 15 (fifteen) participants).
For residents of Argentina
- If you pay in cash, in euros, the amount is €500 (five hundred euros) (the invoice will be issued for the equivalent amount in USD).
- If you pay by bank transfer from your USD account, the amount is USD 585 (five hundred and eighty-five US dollars). (Bank details are provided at the end of this document.)
- If you pay by bank transfer from your Argentine peso account, the amount is ARS 910,000 (nine hundred and ten thousand Argentine pesos).
For residents outside Argentina
Payment is available exclusively via PayPal (request your payment button). The amount is USD 585 (five hundred and eighty-five US dollars, based on the EUR/USD exchange rate), plus PayPal fees, Nubi currency conversion fees, and bank transfer charges.
Total resulting amount: USD 635 (six hundred and thirty-five US dollars).

Once this initial payment has been received, you will be added to the private Ágora Sicilia WhatsApp group, where we will keep you informed about the organization and all details concerning the Residence and the trip.
Balance Payment
The remaining balance may be paid in 3 (three) installments. (The payment method for the remaining balance may be customized. Please contact us.)
Non-extendable Deadline
The total cost of the Residence must be paid in full 60 (sixty) days before the start date.
2. Cancellation and Retention Policies
As Ágora Sicilia pays in advance for teaching fees, private transportation, catering, and local logistics in Italy, cancellations made by participants—including cancellations due to health reasons, visa issues, travel restrictions, or family emergencies—will be subject to the following financial retention schedule:
Cancellation up to 120 days before the start date:
The participant will receive 40% of the total amount paid to date as credit (Lifetime Deposit), valid for future editions of Ágora Sicilia.
The remaining 60% will be refunded through the payment method used for the reservation, less any taxes and fees charged by the relevant payment platform.
Cancellation between 120 and 61 days before the start date:
The participant will receive 40% of the total amount paid as credit (Lifetime Deposit), valid for future editions of Ágora Sicilia.
The remaining 30% will be refunded through the payment method used for the reservation, less any taxes and fees charged by the relevant payment platform.
Cancellation 60 days or less before the start date:
Only 40% of the amount paid will be granted as credit (Lifetime Deposit) for future editions of Ágora Sicilia.
No cash refund will be issued, due to the impossibility of filling an international place on short notice.
3. Minimum Group Size and Flights
Minimum Viable Group Size
In order to guarantee an interactive experience and cover the costs of the seminar, the Residence requires a minimum of 8 (eight) registered participants.
Group Confirmation Date
Ágora Sicilia will officially notify participants of the final confirmation that the Residence will take place 6 (six) months before its scheduled start date.
Cancellation Due to Insufficient Group Size
In the exceptional event that the minimum of 8 (eight) participants has not been reached 6 (six) months before the Residence, Ágora Sicilia will cancel the edition and refund 100% of the amount paid by participants within the following 14 (fourteen) business days.
Exclusion of Liability for Flights
Under no circumstances shall Ágora Sicilia be responsible for participants’ external travel or logistical expenses. This includes penalties, exchange-rate differences, or losses related to airline tickets or travel/medical insurance purchased independently by participants.
Flight Purchase Recommendation
Participants are advised not to purchase final or non-refundable airline tickets until the organization has formally confirmed that the group has reached the minimum required number of participants.
4. Services – What Is and Is Not Included
Included Services
The Residence fee covers exclusively:
- Seminars, classes, and production supervision;
- Digital bibliography;
- Group transfers to and from Palermo Airport at the scheduled times;
- Lunches and coffee breaks specified in the program (non-alcoholic beverages included);
- Recreational activities included in the itinerary;
- Subsequent publication in the collective e-book.
Excluded Services
The following are expressly excluded from the contract and shall be paid for by the participant:
- International airfare;
- Mandatory international medical insurance;
- Dinners;
- Alcoholic beverages;
- Accommodation, which is arranged separately through the preferential rates offered.
5. Physical Requirements and Geographic Environment
Minimum Age
The minimum age to participate in the activities is 15 (fifteen) years old at the time of travel.
Participants under 18 (eighteen) years of age must travel accompanied by their legal guardian or by an adult authorized in writing by their legal guardian.
Please Note
The town features steep slopes, cobblestone streets, and stone stairways. Some activities may require a certain level of mobility.
Each participant will be considered individually, taking into account any mobility requirements or specific circumstances. We strongly recommend informing the organization of any such needs in advance.
Medical Requirements
Participants are solely responsible for managing and fulfilling any health or medical requirements necessary to enter Italy.
Ágora Sicilia shall not be held liable for injuries, accidents, or health complications arising from pre-existing medical conditions of the participant during the 8-day Residence.
This Terms and Conditions document will be sent to you for signature during the first week of February 2027, as the final step required to complete your registration for the Residence.
